Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 3 tbsp butter, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking water.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Stir in the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt.
- Add the heavy cream and cream cheese to the skillet, whisking until the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the Parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses until melted.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce, incorporating the reserved pasta water gradually until the desired consistency is reached.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Variations: Add sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms; substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken; add hot sauce or extra red pepper flakes for more heat.
