- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 2 cups sharp cheddar
- 1½ cups Parmesan
- 1 cup mozzarella
- Chopped parsley
- Extra Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the penne until it reaches an al dente texture, then drain and set aside.
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
- Incorporate the onion powder, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes into the beef.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the cheddar, Parmesan, and mozzarella to the skillet, stirring until the cheeses are completely melted.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing to ensure even coating.
- Top with parsley and optional extra Parmesan before serving.
You can add sautéed spinach, bell peppers, or jalapeños for extra flavor and heat. Ground turkey can be used as a substitute for beef.
